Always a step ahead
The core of FACT-Finder is built around our FACT® similarity technology, which compares two items and returns a measure of similarity from 0% to 100%. The language from which the terms come is irrelevant, as is whether they are artificial or technical terms. In addition, FACT-Finder takes advantage of a special system of phonetics developed by Omikron, which is used whenever two character sequences are different, but still pronounced similarly.
Users help to optimize the system
The behaviour of each and every user provides an unlimited source for optimizing search results. FACT-Finder determines an additional relevance factor for each data record and search term, adjusted to the actions of users. This provides an additional optimization that is independent of the comparison similarities, further improving the search results.
