Max Gerer joins FactFinder as CTO
As a renowned leader in tech innovation, AI and hands-on project management, Max will help carve an exciting future for FactFinder and the world of eCommerce.
(London, Stockholm, Pforzheim, Munich – May 5, 2025) – FactFinder, Europe’s leader in AI-powered search and product discovery, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Max Gerer as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), starting May 2025.
Max brings an impressive track record of developing and rolling out cutting-edge AI and large language model (LLM) products, most notably as the co-founder and CTO of e-bot7. In just 4.5 years, he took the startup from the ground up into the leading Conversational AI platform in the DACH region, with over 120 people.
Since then, he’s worked with various startups to build high-performing technology organizations. He is also a founding member of Germany’s Federal Association of AI Companies (KI Bundesverband e.V.), which promotes responsible AI innovation and ethical tech development, helping shape German and EU policy.
In his new role, Max will lead several core product and development teams at FactFinder in advancing the platform and its suite of eCommerce modules. “I’m excited to join at such a key time for the company and the broader AI movement,” says Max. “FactFinder’s unique blend of AI technology and human expertise makes it a true leader in this space. I’m honored to be part of that journey.”
He’s not just about strategy. Max codes, builds and mentors. A hands-on CTO, he solves real-world problems alongside teams that don’t just ship but deliver. Crucially, he shares FactFinder’s practical, customer-first mindset, ensuring every tech advancement creates real value for clients.
Kristie Collins, CEO of FactFinder, adds: “We’re delighted to have Max on board. His bold thinking, technical leadership, and sharp eye for growth will help accelerate our momentum and extend our reach into new markets. This is a pivotal role for us as we continue to lead in AI-powered product discovery. With Max now part of the team, we’re better positioned to deliver on our vision: helping businesses connect each online shopper with the products that are perfect for them.”
Max’s hire marks the third major senior addition at FactFinder in just six months — a sign of the company’s forward momentum. He joins forces with Roman Howe (Chief Revenue Officer, appointed January 2025) and Hagen Meischner (VP of Partnerships & Market Expansion, who joined in May 2025), along with a growing team of top-tier eCommerce experts.
And it’s not just the team that’s growing. FactFinder continues to push the boundaries of innovation, launching several next-gen AI features in the past 22 months alone, including Atlas AI, AI Guided Selling and the upcoming vector search. Now with Max's addition, FactFinder steps into a bold future for the product, its clients and the eCommerce industry at large.
